New HouseAs some of you may already know, we are moving. "Where", you ask? Not far, really. In fact, only a few miles from where we live now. However, even with the short distance move, it will take us from Chesapeake to Virginia Beach. We are both very happy and a little sad. We love our house now and were not actually looking for a new place.

It all started just under a year ago. We were offered an opportunity to purchase a place a few miles away. Based on the offer, we couldn't refuse. The house is brand new and never been lived in. It currently serves as a model. We were able to lock in on the price back then and purchase it now. "How", you ask? Well, the home still needed to serve as a model until just recently. Now that it is no longer needed, we can finally by it. Sounds weird, huh? I know it does. But it is one of those deals that may only come along once in a lifetime. So we went for it.

Old HouseNow, we have had to put our place up for sale. We thought we had better put it up as early in the new year as possible in case it took a while to sell. Not the case. 3 days, folks and a full price offer has been tendered. Now we just have to wait and hope the appraisal comes through to match the sale price.

So, we close on our new house on Feb 24th as long as all goes according to plan. Additionally, we are scheduled to close on this house Mar 17th. That will give a couple of weeks to move out of here and get settled in the new place.

For anyone interested, we may offer up a few appliances for sale. Including, a brand new refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer and a gently used microwave. We sort of told our selves that we wanted to outfit our new place with some appliances we have really had our eyes on. But, in order to do that we need to sell some of the ones we have.
