Month #1, Week #4: Staying on track

Another week down in preparation for the Shamrock 8K. This week turned out a little different. Skyler only ran with me once this week and only one mile. That's okay I just missed my running partner.
I ran three miles two times this week and decided to pick up an extra run on Friday. It was nice outside, so I figured it would be worth it. I changed up the routine a little though. Instead of just running for distance, I focused more on speed. I only ran two miles, not three. But I pushed hard an successfully achieved fourteen minutes flat for two miles. I realize this may not be very impressive, but I haven't run a seven minute mile since middle school.
Next week is the start of four miles, twice a week. It is starting to get tough now. Got to buckle down and go for it.
