A different kind of Hero

WOW! all in the same day I have been pleasantly surprised by both of my boys. This time it was my 6 year old son, Skyler. I was just going through his backpack for school, reviewing his homework and signing paperwork for him to take back to school tomorrow. I came across this drawing that he did in class. I had no idea I was a hero. Well, I was voted as a hero at work one time. But, that was only because I wore my pink speedos and a cape (Bad visual, huh?).

I like you better than toys
Those were the words that came from my 4 year old son, Gauge. I guess that puts me in pretty high standing for the moment. It is a rare occasion to receive such a compliment. I mean, think about it. I am better than Hot Wheels, Dump Trucks, Video Games and the like. Unless, he only meant better than some toys that he doesn't really care for anymore. Nevertheless, I am flattered and will cherish this moment for eternity.
BTW ~ He said this right after I agreed to let him bring more than one toy on the car ride we were about to take. Ahhh, the joys of parenthood.
