I was not able to defend myself against the forces of childhood perserverance. The overwhelming attacks infiltrated my well planned resistance and forced me to submit.

So, I bought a Christmas tree. What's the big deal? Well, I had planed to wait until next weekend to buy a tree. But, the kids asked me about every five minutes until I finally gave in. I had no compelling argument why we should not get a tree this weekend other than "it will die if we get it now." Truth being told, all those trees are already dieing as soon as they cut them down. So, I don't suppose that waiting until next weekend will guarantee a fresher tree. I think most of those tree lots only get one big shipment anyway. That's it. I give. You win. We now have a tree.
