Welcome to the Circus

More than I can handle? The Holiday season is upon us and the added stress is reason enough to write about it. This is a particularly busy time of year for many people and the DiCensos are no exception. In addition to the normal chaos associated with Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving, followed by Christmas, followed by the New Year, we are lucky enough to have a slew of family Birdthay parties and school/work schedules that conflict with just about everything.

Juggle this!It is certainly a juggling act and one I am proud to have not lost all of my hair over, yet! Over time I would like to be able to relax a little more during the Holidays. Maybe take a 2 week vacation to Europe or something. Luckily, Tiffany will have Christmas off this year. Which means she will have to work next year.

Happy Birthday, Gauge

Sunday, November 26, 2006

Gauge's 6th Birthday Gauge Zeller DiCenso recently turned 6 years old. He was very excited. He invited everyone in his Kindergarten class. We must have had 20+ plus kids and 40-50 people total at our house. We did the DiCenso family tradition of beating kids with a stick. I mean, the kids beating a Piñata with a stick. We did it a little different this year. Since there were so many kids and some of them were a little older, I had the kids pick their choice of light sabers from Skyler's collection to hit the Piñata with. Because the light sabers were made of hard plastic, they did not do as much damage as a wooden stick had done in previous years. That gave many more kids a chance to hit it.

Gauge: Blowing out his candlesTiffany baked him a Lego cake. He loved it. While the cake slightly resembled a melted lego, I was still impressed with the way it turned out. Good job, Tiff. Gauge is heavy into these Lego racers called Tiny Turbos. He will make each one according to the directions, then take the pieces and recreate a hybrid car from many other pieces. It amazes me to see the creativity of young, brilliant minds.

Happy Birthday, Gauge. We love you!
