My troubled mind
Thursday, October 21, 2004
My troubled mind not yet at ease. Instead, it is devoured with thoughts of obligation and fear of commitment. As logical nature would insist, my mind is in some way linked to my physical being; in truth, however, my mind is elsewhere and partakes in physical representation of disturbed emotion. A million places for a mind to exist but only single occupancy of space for my physical body. As for my heart, it is with my mind and not my body. Elsewhere, of course.

With change we exist
With cooling winds upon me, I taste memories in the air. I taste salt residue on my sun baked lips as a reminder of a season passed.
I see beautiful reds, browns, oranges and such in the nature that surrounds me. This tells me of the now, as I am part of the change. I am forever changing with my surroundings.
I feel a mild numbness come over the tips of my fingers. This hints to me, a time that is yet to come; a time when cold silence fills the air; a time when nature blankets her blessed soil with a glistening powder coat.
With this, I have left but a single season; a season when the numbness in my fingers will fade away; a season when the beautiful colors will be green, reborn and full of life; a season when the sun softly strokes my lips, as to say, I have missed you. With change we exist.

Labors of love
Sometimes, a worried mind is like a traveling salesman, laboring door to door, hoping to unload the baggage that has been a burden thus far.
And sometimes, the heart is like a potential customer, accepting self sacrifice in order to lighten this tremendous load.
Only to find, that the journey goes on.

Evolve
The golden arches of life
allow the infinite rays of sunshine
to enlighten the soiled mistakes of mankind.
But, nevertheless,
man is an entrepreneur of his own destiny
in his relentless pursuit
to overcome fate.
Man is to mankind
what a seed is to nature
merely a stepping stone in the eloquent course
of life as we know it.

Love Translated
To all those who wonder
And the few who ponder
The answer is but a grip away.
Let your heart be true
In all that you say and do
And no love shall slip away.
A lifelong memory
may indeed be the enemy
to an open, vulnerable heart.
Just as the pain that carries
is the same that buries
and the same that rips apart.

Let there be hope
A full moon blazing in the black sky night.
ulterior motives hidden by the twilight.
A preconceived notion from a dark impulse.
Perspiring mists accompany the shadows.
Drifting in this empty darkness
propelled by a hollow existence
The shadow of doubt,
looming heavily over a faint light of hope.
Searching, pleading for answers to the infinite number of questions that remain; let there be hope.
